From San Bernardino, take I-10 to Redlands. Continue onto Lugonio Avenue (Highway 38) and head northeast for about 24 miles to the campground entrance. Contact host at Barton Flats Campground to open the gate.
I was walking down the highway very peaceful Highway very quiet and then all of a sudden I hear music in the background I was just passing through I did not stop here but I thought it was just very interesting to hear the music in the middle of the forest
We love this campsite. I take my girl scout troop here every year. The bathrooms are super clean and the site is maintained very well by the camp hosts at nearby Barton Flats.
Entrance IS at Barton Flats road. Google Maps location guarantees you will pass the entrance, requiring a dangerous u-turn on Highway 38.
This camp site is huge and more than comfortable for 50 people. Has rubbing water and 2 restrooms (no ought in the restrooms) has 4 bbq pits but one is broken. My family was loud and no one bothered us or told us to quiet down. Bong fire was amazing and comfy. Family set up about 30 tents, and volleyball net. We still had a lot of room left. This is the second year my family camps there. The group is growing so we might not be able to camp there next year, but if we can keep a group of 50, this is definitely the place to go.
Place was great for my seven-year-old's Cub Scout camp out. The only downside is it is pretty close to the highway, my ear plugs made it better, I would call a noise enough to drop it down a star though. Kids loved it lake is in hiking distance. I would go again.
