About Campground

Overview

Located deep in the interior forests of Shannon County, Logger's Lake Campground is situated along the southeast shore of Logger's Lake. Constructed in 1942, this spring-fed lake is maintained as a fishery and is a destination for anglers looking for non-motorized boating and quiet bank fishing.

Recreation

Logger's Lake offers good fishing for large-mouth bass, sunfish and channel catfish. The Day Use area has a small swim beach, boat ramp, picnic tables, and grills.

Facilities

The campground area is located on the southeast lakeshore and all sites have a view of the lake, with only light vegetation in between. There are 14 sites with each site offering a table, fire ring, tent pad, and some offer lantern posts. Drinking water and vault toilets are centrally located. There are two boat ramps, and a barrier-free fishing pier. Group camping is available at Oak Knoll.

Natural Features

The campground is located on 22-acre, spring-fed Logger's Lake. A variety of colorful vegetation, clear creeks and springs provide a picturesque setting.

Directions

From the junction of MO A Hwy and Hwy 72, go 1/4 mile west on A Hwy to Dent Co Rd 565 (Lincoln Ave). Go south on 565, 6 miles to FR 2193. Turn left on 2193 for 1 mile to Logger's Lake.

This is my new favorite campground, it is

S👏🏽T👏🏽U👏🏽N👏🏽N👏🏽I👏🏽N👏🏽G👏🏽.while there is no electricity and there is only one water spout for the whole campground to share but there's only 14 sites so if you have a group you can book the whole place. There's also a couple of little hikes that you can go on and see lots of cool plants like Jack in the pulpit.

Pay area by the lake is the best spot to camp. The other campground where the “campground host” is situated not so much. No signs, no numbers on the supposed camp sites and not clear if it’s free or pay. Knocked on the RV and no one answered but a cute little dog was there to greet me

We took a round trip with my step daughter and here husband and four kids. It was a nice scenic two hour drive but so worth it. We got a day pass to the picnic and camp ground by the dame. All the landscaping is overgrown and and up to my knees in some parts. We all were getting bites before the bug spray…. They have private bathroom outdated not dirty but not clean just old times out house like. There was plenty of parking, picnic tables with plenty area around , a small beach clean with access to wading water, a designated fishing area, hiking trails with sit down benches along the water way, fresh running water. Not wheelchair friendly no access. There is absolutely no cell/ internet service available for miles. This area is beautiful with picturesque landscapes the water temperature was perfect and was clear and clean. Lots of shade trees with the perfect amount of a nice breeze of wind.. The area to be so secluded in the park with little to no traffic it’s felt so safe. I was able to just enjoy the moment and relax. It was a little peace of calm on earth.
