I stopped for the night in my camper van. This is primarily a long term park for very large trailers and mobile homes, but they had a space for me. Each of the 3 times I called the manager (to reserve, when I arrived, and for help with the bathroom lock) they answered the phone and helped. The bathroom facilities were small and kind of limited but most of the residents probably don't need them. The community was extremely quiet, and many of the spaces were customized and decorated. Probably not the best place for overnight travelers passing through, but overall it seemed like a very appealing place for long term residents.

The check-in staff person was friendly, but ill-informed and not organized. She had no idea who we were, and I had to point out my name on the reserved site on her Campground wall map. She said someone had overstayed in our site and assigned us to another site. We traveled to the other site only to encounter someone already there, and our original site was actually available.

We finally backed-into our site, only to discover that the elec. meter said CLOSED, and the two obvious water faucets were dry. I returned to the office, only to find a sign saying the office was closed at 1:00pm. No one had accompanied us to our site to point out the connections. I phoned the number on the sign but never received a callback.

I eventually tried to flip the 30 amp circuit breaker on the elec pillar, and viola, we had power even though the meter said CLOSED. I then walked around to other sites only to discover that the water connection was buried in the ground under a wooden plank. I opened the plank to find a hole with an incredible array of spider webs. I cleaned out the webs and connected the water.

The least the owner, Maria Lopez, could have done was return my calls and maybe offer an apology for the lack of direction to the services. Signs in the office and community center mentioned this was a Good Sam campground, along with the GS logo on the map. I was informed that the campground had dropped its affiliation with GS, so we were unable to receive a discount.

If someone had taken us to our site, this confusion would have never happened. The campground does not appear to be well organized for transient travelers but certainly has many permanent residents. Although the place was relatively clean, their customer service approach was sub-standard. I will not stay there again if going through Safford.

Showers were clean and nearby. Used a relative's small mobile home for overnight.

Don’t get a space here! People are mean! My mom was paying for a space for 3 months until her trailer came in. This lady calls my mom into the office to let her down and tell her that she gave her space to another lady. My mom has a lot of health problems and she needs her home!

This is beyond 5 stars park!

In response to Morgan's review in this 1 star category:

I've been to this park and it's absolutely stunning. It is beautifully maintained and well-kept and loved by the current owner. The streets are all freshly paved, the RV laundry/bath house all newly painted, and the RecHall newly painted and decorated.

The new owner cares for the park and it's residents. This is evident in the beauty,

maintenance and the caretaking of the park.

She has:

NEVER forced any residents to move out.

ONLY raised rents once (the legal 5% limit) in the last five years. In fact, compared to the other parks in Safford and surrounding townships these are the lowest rates you can find.

NEVER charged for potluck parties or any other event.

NEVER charged for monthly calendars of events.

The Office Manager and staff is friendly, welcoming and efficient.

The "Morgan" review (in this 1 star category) is a friend of a disgruntled vindictive ex-employee who was terminated of her employment at Lexington Pines for illegal job performance.

Karma will take care of both of them.
