TRAVELER, beware.
They called me about a spot that opened up, so we took it. I travel for work, so I took a job in this area. We got here and were about to park when they came and told my wife that we would not be able to stay there after tonight. We left, this place isn’t getting a dime from me. I’m not sure why they called me, and approved us to stay at this campsite for 3 months, if our RV wasn’t up to standards. Shouldn’t this be done prior to us showing up?… now we don’t have a place to stay with our camper because of incompetent staff who don’t do their job.
I can’t imagine if I were to go to work, and couldn’t do my job that I said I could do in my application.
I’m not sure why my family and I are the ones who have to suffer when it was this place’s fault for not asking for pics and following guidelines and policies prior to us showing up and then telling us when we show up. I still have a job to go to, just because you cancelled on me doesn’t mean I just don’t get to go to work. It means, you get 1 more bad review, because I can’t see my family.
For the questions below:
I’d describe the “hotel” as garbage, none of the options describe this “hotel” at all.
Not safe at all, if the electricity can’t handle older RV’s… regulators should really look into this facility.
At least they gave a refund for the deposit. The least they could do is let us stay there until we found another spot to stay in, since they approved us prior to arrival.
I hope this review helps someone else coming from other parts of the country. To maybe find ANY other campground. The spots are extremely tiny..
I hope no one has the experience we had.
Deer Valley is a wonderful RV park. It's a very convenient location in North Phoenix. The management is excellent and sees the park is kept safe and clean. The office is always open and kept staffed. I highly recommend this park.
We stayed here while my wife was being treated at the Mayo Clinic for several months.
Tami and the office staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for access to all of Phoenix via 17 or the 101.
The park and on-site facilities are immaculate and quiet. We plan to return here on a regular basis.
I’ve read some of the negative reviews and can only assume there is more to the story than the OP shares. We had not planned to stay here, but my wife needed emergency surgery at a nearby hospital and Deer Valley was able to accommodate us. We were in the “beggars can’t be choosy” scenario. This place turned out to be great. It’s quiet (except for some small aircraft traffic which was not bad), very clean and watched over carefully. It seems to be more of a “workers park” rather than a “travelers RV park” (if that makes sense). During the day most folks are gone to a job I assume and even the weekends it’s very quiet. More than happy with this business. Tami who is the only staff we had contact with was always friendly, asked several times over our stay how my wife was doing. Really nice.
We were traveling to Scottsdale for the Phoenix Open and this park was a quick 15 min drive to the event and easy access. Although park is near the highway, the barrier wall kept it quiet enough. The manager, Tammy, was super accommodating as they were rather busy. This park was completely renovated 3 years ago, everything was clean and new. The pool area and showers were very nice. Definitely recommend. Nice small park.
