Great Pokemon spawn spot, but is also not a park for kids since more homeless people frequent it than there are amenities/equipment for kids to utilize. Nothing against homeless people- most towns/cities have a park like this, and Okanogan is not exempt from that general rule. It is riverside, so nice place for adults to stroll through and gather TONS of Pokemon. :)
We stopped here for the farmers market. Wish we would have known one could camp here. They have a 72 hour window for folks to camp. It's right on main street so it's not the most ideal location for camping sake but if one needs a spot for a few nights it would be great.
Okanogan Farmer's Market is held here Saturday mornings in late spring, all summer, and early autumn. The park is decent and during Farmer's Market there are things for kids and adults to do. However, there is no playground there, the bathrooms don't seem to be open with any regularity, and I believe it has a "no dogs on the grass" policy.
Was going to camp here but did not feel safe. Homeless in the area, supposed to camp for 72 hours but could tell some live there. Bathrooms were very dirty and unkept. The river was pretty though.
