Maybe if you have no options! We are a short diesel pusher, so when selecting a spot online, the cheapest was available but too short. Opted for the next size up at additional fee. I phoned the reservation and was given an even higher price, when I questioned why and that I could get it cheaper online the guy hung up. So I ended up paying for a FHU site that was 55' long. Well that is not what we got. It was super small. Trees in the way. Sites are not maintained. We had a growling pit bull dog for a next door neighbor. The place was pretty empty, so they lie on their website and call center. There will not be a next time!
We weren't able to stay here due to mechanical issues on our truck, and a necessary change to our route. But felt a warning was warranted to prospective campers. Even though we cancelled our reservation 4 days prior to our arrival, they wouldn't refund our money. Their policy, (which wasn't explained at the time of reserving) is no refunds within 7 days of arrival. Since we made our reservation on the 3rd, to arrive on the 9th, according to their system, we would've had to have cancelled on the 2nd... A day before we made the reservation! This is unusual in our 12-year experience as full-time RVers, and thought people should know. (Usually, cancelling within 48 hours is sufficient.) We paid $56... And never saw the place.
Even though Laramie has limited options, this place is very nice. Plenty of options from tight, water/power only sits to super deluxe full hookup and patios.
Staff is excellent - always willing to go the extra mile to help.
Didn't use the cabins or tent sites but they looked very nice.
Scam artists.
I stayed here in the winter, which is a dead time for any campground. I had been there for 20 minutes, and noticed a white unmarked truck following slowly while I was walking my dog. After going back to my camper, which had no one else in the same area, I noticed that the truck was still circling. So I came up to them, and asked them what they were doing. They said that they were maintenance/ security.
I told them that what they were doing was creepy. I also mentioned this to the front desk agent, who explained that they were just going around, enforcing campground rules and that they had problems from the surrounding neighborhood. Fair enough, but I'm a customer, not an outsider, and I had just checked in.
The next day, I tried to renew my reservation. They tried to up my rate by $15 dollars, stating that the website had generated a higher rate, there's nothing they can do, blah, blah.
Mind you, this is winter. They are maybe 1/3 to 1/2 full.
You could still get cheaper rates on the website.
I decided to leave this place.
If anyone were to, you know, open another campground in Laramie, they would do well, because this is the only one here. And they're terrible.
Great spot to stop off for the night while traveling across the country. I booked online for the tent spot and they had the location nearest the facilities which worked out perfect for me. I was able to get set up easily and the view and area was lovely for me. I got comfortable and felt safe too. The bathrooms were really clean and comfortable. Pricing was great for me for all that I got.
