Fair Haven Beach State Park has one of the finest public lakefronts in upstate New York, with high bluffs above sandy beaches and hilly woodlands. The park features 1,500 feet of beautiful sandy beach including 600 feet of guarded swimming area. Inland, Sterling Pond and Creek are centrally located amongst the geological transition between wood and water. Campsites and cabins are nestled within the gently rolling woodlands. Fishing and boating opportunities are plentiful in Lake Ontario and the adjoining Little Sodus Bay.

One of my favorite beaches and parks. Clean beach nice sand without rocks. Clean water (lake Ontario) you can see the minnows swim around. Sand bar goes on and on before the water gets deep. Dogs not allowed on the beach area. Camping provided. Dogs permitted on leash. Love how you can see the bluffs and the large reef. The reef was under construction when we visited. Lots of shade in the park with beautiful trees. All kinds of nature. Birds deer etc
We only had 1 night here so we didn't get much time to explore. Beach was quiet but it was really nice. Clean campground with lots of friendly people. Bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. Not too much privacy between campsites. We were at campsite 81. But this would be a great place if you are meeting friends and want to share a couple campsites side by side.
Fair Haven State Beach Park is a captivating destination offering stunning views of Lake Ontario. It boasts an extensive beach area that's well-divided into several sections, accommodating a variety of activities. Amenities are abundant, including restrooms, showers, changing stations, and a handy parking garage.
Swimming in Lake Ontario is a delight and certainly a highlight of our visit. Beyond the beach, the park is equipped with grilling facilities - perfect for a relaxing picnic even if you don't fancy a dip. Plus, there's a scenic trail along the lake for those who love to soak up nature.
Whether you're a swimmer, a hiker, or just someone who appreciates picturesque views, I highly recommend Fair Haven State Beach Park. It truly has something for everyone!
