Great location and lots of trails to hike. The camp sites were close together, but not too close that you’re uncomfortable. One of the rest rooms was broken so we had to walk to the other side of the grounds and that’s why I gave it a 4 Star. It was cold sleeping in a tent in late March, but I plan on going there again later this year when it’s warmer. They have showers you can pay for and flushing 2 toilets in the area we stayed in. There’s a little store about 2 miles away if you need firewood, drinks or other small items.
A really nice campsite that is well laid out. Walking distance to the small lake close by. A peaceful environment away from road noise.
Great local place for simple camping in a tent or smaller trailers. I was greeted in a friendly way by the staff that was very willing to answer questions yet very professional about maintaining the sites and facilities. Each loop of sites has something nice to offer and they are all well maintained. Love this place!
Great place for a family vacation getaway. Lots of fun hiking and bike riding for all levels.
Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, plus nearby restrooms. Showers are 4 quarters for 3 minutes.
Lots of people had their dogs, but it was large breeds that i saw.
If you are bike riding I recommend going with someone who knows the trails but you definitely want to do Gatos and Luge and if you are more advanced then Nobel.
There is no phone service for the most part
Can't say enough about the campground manager, Beth, and her hosts. They went above and beyond to help us when our RV could not fit into our reserved site (even though the pad length was long enough, the configuration of the road and posts/pilons that line the road and sites made it impossible to maneuver). Thankfully, we were in the off season and there were some sites available elsewhere in the campground. Throughout our 2 week stay, Beth drove by and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She cares very much about her campground and is kind to campers.
The campground itself is well maintained and clean. If you're in a large RV (30 foot+), make sure you reserve in the RV loop. When you do, be aware that most sites are very sloped and bring lots of wood or blocks to help with leveling.
