About Campground

Rancho Colina RV Park is open all year with 60 RV spots only. No tent camping. The camp roads are paved with crushed rock parking pads. There are no pull throughs and no fire rings. Some spots have a picnic table.

This is a clean, quiet RV park that is at the edge of the wilderness in the outskirts of Morro Bay. Beaches, marinas, and the downtown Morro Bay Area are not in walking distance. The Morro Bay Trolley does not service the campground. There is a stop approximately one mile away.

While you are in Morro Bay, make sure you see the Downtown area, Marina, Morro Rock, and the beaches. The downtown area has numerous seafood restaurants. There are also shops and other interesting things to see near the marina. It's basicaally an American fishing village. There are all kinds of activities down at the marina.

Morro Strand State Beach is located approximately two miles west of the campground on Atascadero Road. The beach area has a large sand dune area. HorsebackIng is popular in the dunes and there is a parking area for both truck and horse trailer.

There is some extended stay in the campground.

The campground can accommodate big rigs up to approximately 45 feet. Check with the office for exact length. Easy access from the highway.

There are approximately 10 campgrounds in and around Morro Bay. Make sure you make reservations early. During the summer months there are usually no vacancies. Campbase was unable to find a RV spot during the month of July 2014. The bottom of this page lists the next closest campgrounds to this location.

Directions

The campground will be on the left side of the highway. The campground is approximately three miles from the beach. The Morro Bay Trolley does not stop at the campground.

We were late in arriving, but when we called, they were very understanding and friendly. One of the cleanest washrooms/showers we have had on our trip of 21 days thus far. There were benches/hooks to place your personal bag, etc. Highly recommend it.

Very nice place, great price. quiet and easy to get to. Some trees, picnic table at each site. A lot of long-termers, everyone was very friendly. Showers and restrooms are nice. Laundry and game room also. Even a dog park area, fairly large. Very nice stay!
