Truly enjoyed my experience at this campground. Wonderfully wooded, quiet and peaceful. Butterflies, birds, chipmunk and more. Sites can be tight with big rigs, but we don't have one so we didn't have problems. Staff was wonderful and sweet. Very accommodating. The area has beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. Mostly no wifi or cell, which was actually a bonus to get away from it all. We will definitely return.
Horrible. I thought the older woman running the place was just down right nasty and not welcoming at ALL. Cabin felt like I was in an overflow backyard, not a campsite. Tried to email them to cancel a single night and their email doesn't work and that's my fault and wouldn't refund the night didn't want. IMPOSSIBLE to find your way around at night to the cabin with your car driving around. NOT a KOA experience from the minute walked in the door. Try something else in the area, I'm telling you, you will be MUCH happier. I paid $160 and didn't stay EITHER night was so upset with the experience. HORRIBLE!!!!!
I really wish I would have taken the negative reviews more seriously. I have a family of 4. I am the one in charge of researching and making our reservations whenever we go on vacation or weekend trips. I was so disappointed in our campsite upon arrival. No shade, trees or privacy for the tent campers. You’re basically in a field. So even though we planned to tent camp we ended up in a cabin for the sake of being in the woods. The cabin site was also disappointing. My 7 year old sprained his ankle because of all the tree roots and rocks on the site. It’s just dangerous. The bathrooms were disgusting. We made the best of it but please don’t camp here if your a family looking for a good experience.
This will be my second year fall camping at this KOA. Great place to get away for a weekend especially when I leaves are changing! Staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant this year and last (I only stayed one weekend and it felt like they knew me this year). Some of the sites can be challenging to a new driver, but staff is always more than happy to help get you setup. I would highly recommend as it’s family friendly and all around a good time.
