Stay there once a few years back and was provided a fire pit but no Grill on top. The cost at that time was fairly reasonable and the campsite other than the firepit was fine ... as a last resort. Last year I checked it out (other campgrounds were full) and was told camping fees were $19 per person! Ridiculous ... not even as a last resort! Never again!

Spending the weekend with my Jeep club for Shore Patrol was a pleasure. The staff was excited to see our large group. They were very accommodating to everyone. Folks who stayed in cottages like myself and also that had trailers and motorhomes. The property management and long term tenants were so thankful for us doing the annual beach clean up, along with renting most the available rv spots and 4 cottages in total. Unfortunately we found out although their hours list they were open on Sundays, no one was able to check us out or pay for our extras nights. Luckily I was staying til Tuesday. My rate did increase for the extra evening. However I thought if it had stayed the same I would of stayed more. Being our group had 4 cottages rented, we were able to see the differences and similarities. All satisfied with the amenities that were offered. Able to cook off our potluck items individually, serving utensils provided. Our entire club was able to meet with potluck items in the charter room, easily 50 of us. The main camp bathrooms were secure (code upon entry) and very clean. Showers were private rooms and did not take coins to operate. While visiting our group camp spots, it was a nice bonus to have a bathroom, warm water to wash hands in the middle of camp, rather then a honey bucket or running off to my cottage across the property. I was able to make fresh coffee every morning, with cream and sugar supplied. Water pressure was amazing, and instant hot water a blessing after being on the beach all day. Clean towels, blankets and bedding were provided. The beds seemed to be fairly new, however I would fibbing if I said they were hotel worthy, as mine was very thin and firm. Either way, it sure beats sleeping on an airmattress as I did in all my years past at Shore Patrol. I was thankful to lay my head day, with clean linens and slept most the nights away. There was a burn ban in effect our whole stay, however we were able to burn our own propane fire pits with no issues. Over all I enjoyed my 4 night stay and would book there again if the price was right. If all goes well for group rates, it seems my club will be back next year to do it all over again. Having a central place to lay my head and get clean up was a blessing in the middle of all these activities.

There was garbage everywhere, candy wrappers, cigarette butts and the kitchen was dirty. The people who helped us were very nice. One of the campers Sat on the picnic table bench and it broke another tipped back on the ground. I think they should have taken some of the money they used to get a cabin and put it into the little people that got you where you are today that includes your regular renter's.

I’ll start with the pros. It was easy to make a reservation, after hours check-in is easy, the sites are decently sized, bathrooms are clean, and the woman working in the gift shop/office was friendly.

Unfortunately the cons definitely outweighed the pros here. Upon arrival to our reserved site we noticed somebody was already in our spot, when the camp host came over to check in on us he acted like we were an inconvenience. He verified that is our spot and while he could make them move we would then be placed next to the rest of their party that were camping next door. It was clear he was strongly discouraging it and just wanted us to move somewhere else. He told us how these people have been coming here for years and it was clear we were the outsiders. The original site we reserved was in a secluded area and the space they moved us to is right next to the trail tent campers use to get to the bathroom and next to the rec room they have. The tent campers on the other side of the trees from our site have had live bands playing off and on throughout the day. If the campground knew this was going on they should have forewarned us upon reserving the site. In the photo below our original site was supposed to be next to those tents in the corner.

Update: Randy came and chatted with us this evening and made things right. We will be giving this place another shot due to him. It sounds like this weekend was just a fluke and we’re excited to try this place out again.

Excelent place for camping 100% Recommended.Customer services perfect. The restrooms always clean The person in the store is always very friendly. Every year we go to that camping place. We like it because it's very quiet. And it's close to the beach.☺️
