We already knew we liked many of the wines the House of Smith is the umbrella for (including K vintners, wines of substance and others). So visiting the original vineyard just outside of Walla Walla felt like a must now that we're in the neighborhood for a few days. All I can say: good choice! We sat outside in the sun and could choose from 3 flights. The Spring flight ($20, waived on purchase of a bottle or 2), the Syrah flight (K Syrah, Syrah, Syrah, Syrah, Syrah), at $40 (also waved if you buy wine) or the Library flight (highlighting K wine potential once it has aged 7-8 years. $50.-, not waved on purchase). We chose the Spring flight and the library flight and shared. Not a level playing field when switching from one to the other, but both had some wines we really loved. Highly recommended visit.

Parking on site, bathroom available, wheelchair accessible. No food on the menu, but you could bring your own snacks... (Outside seating is at picnic tables).

The 2019 Viognier is phenomenal. I picked up the wine at my local shop in New Jersey. It’s an absolutely beautiful blend of honeysuckle and nectarine. This blows away any Viognier from the northern Rhône.

We had a fun tasting experience at K Vintners! Large wine selection to taste from and it was interesting to compare older and newer vintages side by side. The $250 spend (for 2 people) to waive tasting fees is steep and I wish that would have been communicated in the reservation process so we knew what to expect. Otherwise great experience!
