From jct US-101 & Hwy-103: Go 2-1/2 mi N on Hwy-103.
Needed a place to stay with our dogs overnight last minute while we were down in Long Beach and were happy that the Mermaid Inn was able to accommodate us. Enjoyed our 1 night stay here other than the rooms being smaller than we anticipated. Excellent location, close to the Cranberry Road access to the beach and close enough to a gas station and several eateries nearby.
When I arrived, my room had not been made. I informed the owner, and whilst I had dinner, he personally cleaned the room. He also went out of his way to MORE than make up for it. I had a wonderful experience. I have already booked my room for 4th of July weekend. Highly recommended!
This is one of my most favorite spots in Long Beach!! Super cute, clean rooms -- fully set up for a beach stay, including a towel for the sandy pooch! Oh and did I mention their pet-friendly - such a plus when you're going to the beach. As an aged bonus, the landscape, common areas, were beautifully kept -- gorgeous flowers and plants everywhere.. not at all the stanch setting of most motels -- absolutely made you want to be there!! What's more is the owners are incredibly accommodating, kind, so friendly -- the best experience!!! If it couldn't get any better - they provide outdoor chairs and tables outside each room and a great common patio area with community BBQ (which we took full advantage of!!!) .. we sat outside our room both evenings and enjoyed the sun and sunset while visiting. They've thought of everything making them a place a would go back to again and again ♡
Cutest hotel everrrrr!!! The sheets are mermaid, it’s all retro themed. Actually, mermaids are everywhere. It’s so cute! Very clean & owners are the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever met. Dog friendly. Romantic little beach spot.
Very Cool motel! Whimsical Mermaids mixed with maps and Paintings on the wall of shipwrecks, Oceanic Info, lighthouses. Loved the theme and the awesome retro Fridgw and Microwave. Bed was a bit hard but sleepable. Loved this place and Bill ( One of the two owners) was kind and funny! They really care about the people that stay there! We will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a pleasant, clean and relaxed motel stay! Am already wearing my Mermaid Inn T-shirt, soft and comfortable! P.S. give Leo some pets from us..what a sweet dog!
