Drove through on the bike. Looked like a scene out of deliverance. Dumpster overflowing with trash. Plus debris and litter in a few places. Road washed out that traverses camping area to boat launch. My advice would be to go deeper into the park and camp at Taylor bay or another place far from the highway.
Excellent hiking trails, you can traverse throughout the woods or right by the water. Theres a boat landing nearby. And overall an incredible camping area
Nice little spot to fish off the bank near the bridge. Caught some small bass and sunfish right by the boat ramp.
There for the dedication of the Fenton Overlook. This area is where I grew up so it is full of wonderful memories!
