Absolutely beautiful. Not crowded, playground, lake shade, tables. Loved it, stayed for a week! 15$ night. Can't best that! Only electric hookups
The park and campground was great! We read a lot of reviews that said the road was bad and didn't read much else, but we were in town for a conference at Benedictine College and we loved it! The campground, lake, and surrounding grounds are well kept and better than primitive. The bathrooms are mostly clean and have descent showers. No, it is not a KOA, but it is a good electric only campground.
This is a beautiful place to be at, forests of friendship is a nice little walking area, the cute playground for kids, and the views, as your playing disc golf are beautiful.
The only thing that bothered me, were the bathrooms out here, it looks like they are not well maintained or cleaned regularly.
I love camping here. It was the last place my little brother was alive. I try to find peace. And I find it peaceful here.
