Junction West Ponca RV Park and Cabins (formerly Big Chief RV park and Cabins) is under new ownership. Many improvements have been added or are underway.
Junction West Ponca City, Oklahoma is pure country living minutes from town. We offer 30/50 amp RV pull through RV sites on gravel. Our RV spaces are 45′ x 90′, graveled with grass to relax in, We have new trees planted for future shading. We are pet friendly as long as you provide leash. Rates are Daily, Weekly and Monthly.
Honestly, the 2 stars are only because the manager Nikki is very kind and seems like she really wants to upgrade the park.
TLDR; Nikki the park manager is super nice, unfortunately being nice doesn't make up for other issues especially loose dangerous dogs.
However, this park is really run down. There is random trash scattered throughout the park, all of the tables/chairs/park equipment looks like it was WELL used and is attempting a tenth life here. The long term people are not all considerate (loud music blaring on a Saturday night from 11pm to 6am, washing their oilfield/refinery clothes in the washers that ruined my towels but Nikki did reach out to them).
Additionally, several of the long term stay people let their dogs outside free range and just yell at them to come inside no matter the time, and there's some random dog nobody knows whose it is who attacked my dog this morning before we checked out. The maintenance man said the sheriff's office wouldn't do anything, but it is still a huge liability issue. Loose dogs will automatically cause me to leave a poor review, it's dangerous and there should be more concern.
Junction west is a fantastic place to stay! The staff is very friendly and the manager is always willing to go above and beyond to help her guests feel welcomed and at home. She’s always available 24/7 and there have been times I thought she slept in the office she was there such long hours! She always greets you with a big smile and is so cheery! Definitely a great place to stay! Would definitely recommend to any traveling workers! You will always feel at home here! In the time I’ve stayed I’ve seen this place improve so much with her as manager! She’s always open for suggestions and willing to do anything to improve her guests experience at the park. I guarantee that you won’t regret choosing to stay here!
I moved here from another park & it's been great!! The property is kept very well the facilities are clean and Nikki is like a concierge. You need it, she'll help you. All of the ppl are nice & inviting. I'm glad I found this place.
Nikki is so AMAZING! I love that she takes the time to decorate the entire camp site. My husband was in Ponca City for work& me and our 2 daughters are traveling with him. We stayed in a cabin at junction west & we were amazed with how spacious the two bedroom cabin was. I was able to communicate with Nikki through text at anytime of the day/week & she always responded within a few hours. She went above & beyond to meet our needs. She was very understanding and helpful to my family. I highly recommend booking a stay with Junction West when staying in Ponca city.
Enjoyed my stay! In town for a two month job. Location was great. Cabin was quiet and had everything I needed. I made a reservation so room was ready and check-in was easy. I'll definitely be back...thanks for a great stay!
