Spend a weekend at Liberty Lake fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, camping, mountain biking, or having a cookout with friends and family. The $3 per person day use fee can be dropped in the honor box at the boat ramp. Enjoy!
Beautiful place on the lake! Lovely primitive camping! At reasonable prices 👍
Stopped here for a quick night camping while traveling on I-35. The fact that there were no reviews made me concerned so here is the first review. This campground is not for the large motorhomes. A potted and somewhat questionable red dirt road leads you in. Negative to this is if there has been rain recently your trailer will be full of this red dirt. Check in is self serve - first come. There are 8 gravel spots to choose from. No hookups. All sites are dry camping. Sites are not level, but not terrible. If you have a trailer you will have to disconnect to level. Nice amount of space between sites. The campground was absolutely quiet. Cost is $14/night. Great price compared to the nearby RV park that charges $50/night. Will come back again. Call the city of Guthrie, OK for more information. Camped here in March.
I know I’ve posted about this place before but I just wanted to repeat. This lake is absolutely beautiful and so not overwhelming busy. I go for the trails around the lake. I love mountain biking here. The trail system is equestrian so horses, hiking and biking only. There is a small park fee for daily use $3 person and for boating and camping are different prices. Upon entry of property you pass the park rangers house and there’s a box on the side of the house at the gate to fill information and pay.
Nice lake. It's smaller and much less used than nearby Arcadia and that is a good thing. The $3 pretty person few is worth it to help maintain the park. I do wish it was possible to get to the West side of the lake by car, even just a dirt road. I don't have a boat and would appreciate being able to fish that side.
