We enjoyed ourselves. Although lots of pros and cons. It's quite a ways from anything. That's a plus for some maybe not for others. It just takes about 40 minutes to get back to the town and state park. The cabins are pretty small but functional. We stayed with our two small kids comfortably. If they would have been any bigger, it would have felt cramped. Definitely not luxurious but a decent place to stay. My wife was a little out off that they didn't have any drawers or anything to put our clothes. The best thing about it was the pool. My son has some sensory issues so the lakes water is a little too cold for him. It was nice to have the pool right there to use.
Need new linens; sink was already backed up upon arrival but the staff came quickly following morning and fixed
We recently stayed at the Lakefront Resort and it was WONDERFUL! Chuck and Angie were so nice to us and repaired the air conditioner promptly and correctly. We got to visit with them and they are just the friendliest people. The Dogwood trees were in bloom so that was a real treat for me. Our Dogwoods in Texas had pretty well bloomed out. The cabins were rustic but clean ... it IS camping after all! I hope we can come back in the fall to see all of the leaves change color. Well done Chuck and Angie!
My husband and I spent a night here with our 13 year old son. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer! These cabins are not in town at all. They do not have much cell service, that is just what we wanted. The cabins are clean and cute. My son and I enjoyed the hiking trail right near our cabin. This is really a pretty place.
It was an okay stay. I did not like the conditions of the blacktop road you take to get to the resort. I also did not like that spiders bit me while I slept. Additionally, as a light sleeper, I did not like that low hanging limbs scraped the roof all night. I did like the cabin, though. It is clean and spacious. It has everything a person needs. Will I stay here again? No.
