We love Johnson’s beach! Just went this past weekend to see how the levels were. The middle is deep but down past the bridge it’s too shallow for the rope swing. Glad the middle got deeper compared to the last two years. The parking lot, bathroom n snack shack are only open during summer. Parking is easy right up on the street when it’s off season.

We also camp at Johnson’s beach yearly and love the ease of walking down to the river. They limit people per spot so we always get multiple spots n spread out.

Always love Johnson's Beach. But during pride is a whole other spectacular spectacular that is our vernacular. Love all. 💙🙏

Great place for a family reunion. We camped for three nights and enjoyed gathering everyone at the beach for swimming, kayaking, tubing, sun bathing, and food from the Airstream trailer (NO CASH). Umbrella rental is a must, and water shoes are recommended, as the rocks get very hot in the sun.

A beach in the river (no sand!), and water is really calm. There are umbrellas (for rent, but kind of free after 3p), boars, kayaks... Plenty of families and overall an enjoyable place. There is also a food truck with food and drinks (incl. Ice creams!). Parking is $7, but you can park in the street above and it will just be a 1-2 min walk.

Pros: excellent for kids and families

Cons: it is not a sand beach, but with little stones. Can't rest much when laying down!
