In Pollock Pines, CA, at intersection of US Rt. 50 and Sly Park Rd, take Rt. 50 east 17.7 miles to Silverfork Rd (in Kyburz). Turn right onto Silverfork Rd (Forest Rt. 7) and go 2.5 miles to campground on right.
Nice place to camp. Decent restrooms and very nice Camp hosts
Great campground. Most sites aren't right next to each other, though some are such as the ones down by the river. We had #8, so we were decently far from other camp sites. The restrooms are regularly maintained and toilet paper is well stocked.
Most campers around us were quiet at 9pm or 10pm but on Friday & Saturday night, there was a large group near site #6 that were loud up until 11pm or so. Thankfully #8 was decently far from them, though I feel bad for people that were near them. And on Sunday evening had a family by the water on site #17 or #18 that was laughing and talking like it was daytime up until 12:30am. I had thought about notifying the host but I didn't want to bother them.
Overall we had a good camping experience, we had stayed for 4 nights in total(Checked in Thursday, Left Monday morning.) Firewood is decently priced all things considered. However if you're able to, bringing your own firewood wouldn't hurt.
Though if you plan to come on Friday or Saturday, best come early as since the sites fill up FAST!!!
Great camping experience at China Flat campgrounds. Fishing was good just 2 miles up the road towards Silver Fork campgrounds. Campgrounds were clean and quiet throughout the week and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend these campgrounds. Great river access for rafting in inner tubes.
