Great campsite... people need to stop reserving sites and then not showing up. Makes it harder to make reservations. We were lucky to get our site. The Campground is really nice. Close to hiking and the big Sequoia trees.

It's Forest Service so vault toilets (clean) and no water. Campsites vary in size and closeness to road. Very quiet. Spectacular sky at night. It will be cold at night. There is a lot of dispersed camping along the road before the campground and probably not much after if you are self contained or prepared.

We went 8/12/2023. Campsites are clean and area is beautiful. Didn’t have a reservation but some of the sites are first come first serve. Road up is on good shape. A few mosquitoes but nothing bad. Plenty of wood in the surrounding area so you don’t need to bring any. Just bring an axe to chop up as you can’t have any wood hanging out of the fire pit or your will be fined.

Awesome campground, bring warm clothes and good sleeping bags. It gets to 40 °F at night during the summer. You're surrounded by nature. it's amazing. Definitely come prepared to stay up late. The night sky is amazing.
