We went 8/12/2023. Campsites are clean and area is beautiful. Didn’t have a reservation but some of the sites are first come first serve. Road up is on good shape. A few mosquitoes but nothing bad. Plenty of wood in the surrounding area so you don’t need to bring any. Just bring an axe to chop up as you can’t have any wood hanging out of the fire pit or your will be fined.
