We had a great time with 2 kiddos!! The spot we chose to camp was fantastic!! Great, easy access to water. Kids caught fish down at the marina dock & went swimming by camp. We went on a mid October weekend; campgrounds were quiet and clean. No snakes were seen, but we did have a curious raccoon. Marina restaurant was excellent and shower facilities were available. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return again!
Jackson hill park is the best place to stay at if you are looking for peace and quiet and family oriented. We stayed in there fisherman cabin and absolutely loved it the new owners Sarah& Phil are amazing people. The renovation they did was outstanding it’s Glamping at its best! The food is out of this world we had burgers, pulled pork sandwiches brisket sandwiches fries and everything was delicious. They have a boat ramp right at their site and you can lunch right from here. Beautiful views of the water right from your cabins. There prices are very reasonable. Husband and I absolutely had a blast! I got a rope stuck in my jetski and they helped remove the rope they are kind and humble people and the staff is amazing and attentive!
This being our very first time coming to Jackson hill was a very special experience. The people here are all so sweet and loving, the views are breath taking and the food is phenomenal. The cabins are nice and equipped with the essentials that you need. The rooms stay very cold witch is a must for me and my family. The food prices are very reasonable. Honestly I can’t say enough about the amazing staff tho. When you are around people that are so kind and nice to you, you can’t but have the best mood. Very much enjoyable relaxing weekend we will most definitely be back.
New owners, Sarah and Phil were great. They are remodeling the store and all the cabins. They went out of their way to make sure my cabin was perfect. And I do have to say, it is 100% better than what they were last year. Me and about 10 to 12. Other friends and family members. Visit every year and are finally excited that there are new owners taking over. They do have a ways to go to get the cabins remodeled but once they are done it's going to be an awesome place to visit, to camp, to fish. I will definitely be going back in the spring time, along with family members and friends. Look forward to getting back and send what else they have done since my last visit. So yes, I would recommend this place to anybody that's going to be camping and fishing in East Texas.
