If you want a place to party, keep looking. If you want a full access campground with all the amenities, keep looking. If you want a peaceful, relaxing getaway, this might be your place! Is it older, yes, but they are working on it. We've stayed here a handful of times in the last 4 years and the changes (all for the better) are happening. We've never experienced an issues with the owners, they come by to check that we have what we need & they are on their way. We enjoy that they are concerned with their investment and want to be sure we are enjoying our time there.

This was the worst camping experience ever. The management was unreal, watching your every move. You cannot run, walk your dog or listen to music here. The facilities are not very nice. They security guard patrolled the grounds several times a day and almost every time stopped in front of our campsite to converse. We were having a family gathering and found it very bothersome to be monitored and constantly interrupted. We had to rent an additional campsite because they said we could only have 5 people to a campsite while in their rules they said 8 were allowed per site. It was also almost double the price of any other campground. We had a street legal registered moped and were told it was not allowed because in the exhaustive list of rules they do not allow off road vehicles. We said although it is not an off road vehicle we would not ride it. About an hour later, without being asked to leave or anything, 10 county policemen show up at our campsite with the owners and tell us we have to leave. We asked if we had a time limit to pack up because we were in the middle of cooking dinner. They said we had to leave immediately. While we packed the owners video taped us and our children. They made an unnecessary scene in front of several small children. The policemen were nice and said there was nothing they can do because it is private property. This led us to believe it wasn't the first time a similar event had happened. We did not get a refund for the additional time we paid for.

This Campsite is very Rustic, the owners are building up an older campground and making it great. My family and I had a fantastic time here. Their pool is newer and kept clean, they have a little pond for paddle boats, you can rent oars (free) for row boats on a very beautiful lake. There's a little camp store and game room that is very nostalgic, they hold ice cream socials and candy bingo for the kids. there's horse shoes, a volleyball net, and two little playgrounds! The owner is the sweetest lady I've ever met and I will defiantly return with more family and friends to help them build, as we build more memories!

Most of the reviews are correct. This woman and her skills are poor. I rented cabins 2 times in 2014, loved the experience. The older gentleman was great. Super kind. Something happened in 2015. The second time in 2015 I stayed there this lady at the office was watching me all weekend. Me being the sole tent camper and probably one of 8 or 9 campers there total. She made it clear that I was to follow ever rule and not step out of line...really?? Mom is that You? I mean seriously I was a problem for her. Me and my young children. I was born in the 70's I am not a young party animal or even a drinker. Please look at other options. These people lost my business forever.

I'm going to give this 4.5 stars because despite the other reviews posted, you are given specific rules when you check in (mostly dealing with respecting the trees, campground, and your fellow campers.) We had no problems whatsoever with the owners because we have no problems not hanging our stuff off the trees or partying past 10pm. The lady was very nice and her husband went out of his way to help us with camper issues. He even left the game room open an extra hour when a group of kids arrived with their family. We didn't realize our camper leaked until a huge storm hit the first night and believe me, we had bedding and towels and clothes strewn all over the camper and chairs and picnic table all around our site and the owners said nothing because we didn't hang anything off trees or on a line. They are heavily regulated by the DNR who owns the surrounding forest so you have to buy wood on site which they drop off at your fire ring anytime you buy a bundle. How great is that?! Our site was big enough for a pop up camper, a canopy, picnic table, fire ring, and a car. The tent sites do look on the small side. The pool WAS AWESOME and well taken care of even if it is only 5 feet deep. So refreshing when you're sweaty! The entire campground is fairly well shaded, but the sun does get through. The only reason I am not giving it the full 5 stars is for 2 reasons: the water has a lot of sulphur in it and the pool isn't open later than 8pm. Don't use the laundromat on site unless you Google how to avoid sulphur stains in your clothes. Honestly, we got home and did a regular wash and the one white shirt came clean. Thank you very much Lynn and Randy for a hospitable welcome and all of the help with our stay!
