Huntington Lake offers many activities, including swimming, sailing, boating, non-motorized boating, fishing and water skiing. Additionally, California Land Management sponsors a variety of interpretive programs and nature walks throughout the summer at several locations in the Huntington Lake area.
Beautiful, too bad it will be overwhelmed with people soon.
A lot of fun especially if u have a snow sled. There are a few spots underneath trees to set up some chairs to eat. Bathrooms are a bit complicated bring ur own tp..
Of the five sno-parks in the area, only Tamarack and Huntington Lake were open last weekend. (Balsam Meadows, the most eastern of these sno-parks and our original destination, is closed indefinitely.) Tamarack was crowded and still in the Creek Fire burn area, so we elected to travel the extra distance to this one, and we are glad we did as there were only a few families there, even on a Saturday. The sledding area is the snow-covered boat ramp that leads down to the lake, so we had stunning snow-covered lake scenery to enjoy as we played.
Beautifull spot to go take pictures or even have a fun time with the family in the snow. If you want to spice things up a bit, china peak ski resort is right next door for all your black diamond thrill seeking needs. Wonderful little town in huntington for any little things you may have forgotten to bring on the way up.
