Terrible experience. Check in was horrible with no resolution to our concerns. Wendy (Manager) was abrasive when I asked to be moved to a different site as the one we were attempting to park in was far too narrow. I was told no, that they were fully booked. I asked about the vacant one across the road and was told we could go there for 2 nights but the other 3 nights we would have to go to our current location. I suggested that since we're here for 5 nights perhaps a smaller rig would fit better - I was told no, that's not possible. I was invited to leave and get a full refund but since it was getting late I said we could stay one night and have time to find somewhere else. I was told there would be no refund if we stayed one night. I told her I was not pleased and that I would be leaving a review to which she replied the owners here are not threatened by reviews. I said it's not a threat, just a fact -a way to let others know. Thank goodness for the groundskeeper Joannie and the newly hired gentleman. He helped my husband maneuver the trailer to enable us to use our door without walking into the bushes. We were however about four feet from our bottom step to the back of a cabin. There is no space for lawn chairs. The picnic table had to be against the cabin next to us to give us space to walk through our site. It was not conducive to having a barbecue nor did we want to sit outside at the table and state into the back of the cabin! Joannie did cut some branches and put down three bags of mulch to try to help.
We paid over $600 US to stay five nights. We are leaving tomorrow (a day early) and will not return here.
I am hopeful the owners should they chose to reply, focus their response on my concerns and not on my position on the help received from Joannie and the new staff person. I see they pull any positive feedback in an attempt to disregard the negative feedback.
We thoroughly enjoyed this park! Stayed there week in early May 2023. They have waterfront sites that are closer to neighbor than we like, but we were in Premium Site #315 -- shady, included patio table and chairs and Adirondack chairs with occasional table. Site faced the waterfront. Nice green area down by the waterfront, volleyball, cornhole, horseshoes, fire pit, Adirondack chairs. Our site had very nice landscaping with shrubs that "hid" the hookups and gave some shielding from your neighbor. Friendly person in the front office. Non-premium sites have picnic tables. Only one thing I would change -- you can request a particular site, but campground reserves right to move you as they see the need. If you reserve a premium site, you will get a premium site, but may be different one than requested. I would like to be able to reserve a specific site and keep it. Other than that, we can recommend this place!
Great park and great location....got to upgrade our spot by the water and we couldn't have had a better view. Spot was clean and nice furniture on patio, our neighbors were friendly and we think this is a hidden Florida gem. I just hope we make it back again.
Quaint little campground! A little tight for big rigs, but doable. Large fenced dog run. Beautiful view from the water! Docks for fishing! Little beach to take the dogs swimming, but made with shells, so hard on dog paws. Would stay here again! Good location to downtown Tarpon Springs!
We really enjoyed our stay! The park is kept clean, is maintained well, has many options for recreation and was easy to book online. Our site had awesome Adirondack furniture to enjoy too! The only 2 things that could have made it better are if our site had more shell and less dirt (with the dew, our RV was pretty dirty) and if the other patrons had picked up after their dogs in the dog run area. I spent my dog walking time picking up after other people's dogs so my dogs didn't step in it or worse. We will definitely be back though!
