We are a 55+ Thonotosassa, FL RV Resort, but all ages are welcome to stay up to 14 days at management’s discretion. We are the closest RV Resort to Busch Gardens & Adventure Island, and a perfect short-term stay location for families.

We are the closest campground to Busch Gardens in Tampa, and only 78 miles to the heart of Orlando where you can visit Sea World, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios or just take in the sights and sounds of the big city.
Guests younger than 55 years old are welcome to stay for up to 2 weeks, making our location perfect for a family looking to spend a few days at Busch Gardens, Adventure Island (Busch Garden’s Water Park), or visit nearby beaches like Clearwater Beach.
If you’re interested in a seasonal place to stay for a while or stay for a winter, our mature trees and relaxing atmosphere come in a perfectly centralized Florida location.
Happy Traveler RV Park is located in Thonotosassa, Florida just blocks from interstate 75 at Exit 265. We are the closest RV Park to Busch Gardens, and at just 4.5 miles away, you will be there in no time.
We have a gate attendant on duty after regular office hours to assist you with check in, and most of your other needs while staying at our park.
We have both sunny and shady sites are available, and all sites (back-in and pull through) are full hookup, with wifi access through the park.
Our park is suited for 55+ over, and younger travelers who are staying less than 2 weeks in any of our sites or cabins.

Great time. Staff is friendly. This is a full hook up RV resort. They offer concrete bathrooms with showers. They have a heated and clean pool. There are social gatherings nightly with different games offered too. There are horse shoe pits, shuffle board, and a pickel ball court. Very close to several Tampa Bay attractions and the pricing is affordable.
Very short spaces & not fully graveled, so our Jack's sank into the ground. We lifted Jack's & then rear axles sank into ground. Pretty close spaces, too close to each other, especially for the high daily prices. Road sigb looks like it needed 2 b painted 15 years ago. Go slow. Otherwise, u will miss it.
This place is the top of the line RV park. Really close to Bush gardens and a lot of shopping around. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to go to
Stayed in one of the new cabins, super clean, comfortable and quiet. I was able to store my
trailer in a secured lot on property. The whole place is clean and nice. Mary and Sandy were very nice and helpful. 5 stars
My husband and I decided at the last minute to come to the RV show in Tampa. We called Happy Traveler RV Resort, because they were about 5 miles from the Fairgrounds where the show was taken place. I spoke with Mary, at Happy Traveler RV Resort, and she was so helpful getting us booked. Full hookups and we got our Good Sam’s discount.The RV site was very clean and well taken care of. Thank you again for making our stay enjoyable. We will be back!
