Hermann Horse RV Park at the Jam Hut is a Horse friendly RV Park on Hwy. 100, (3 miles east of Hermann, MO) with a stable for your Horse while you connect your RV, includes water, sewer, electric, wi-fi, shower, laundry facility, and trash disposal.
Great little indoor/outdoor country bar with large selection of local wines, beer, and karaoke. Great location to park your RV and visit all the local wineries. The alcoholic slushies are a must have and owner is very nice.
Definitely knew what to expect after reading multiple reviews and yes it is a little pricey for what it is but not compared to rentals or hotels in Hermann. We had a great time at the Jam Hut singing karaoke and Louis could not have been nicer. The campground's closeness to Hermann and a severe lack of RV parks in the area make it an ideal spot. Yes it's on the highway and yes it's next to a junk yard (but there's a cow in it!) but the positives definitely outweigh all of that. Would absolutely stay again!
Nothing more than some gravel over weeds with water, sewer and power. Right next to highway on front and you back into the fence of the junkyard. Creepy at best. Way over priced. Could of stayed in Herman for a week with what we paid him for 2 nights. Very little water pressure! No individual breakers on power. Will never go back! Very misleading description over the phone.
So much fun! Water, sewer, and electrical hook-ups. Luis's prices are very reasonable considering it is October Fest! It is a great place to end you day around the campfire with your friends after spending all day at the wineries.
You have to understand what you are booking in order to appreciate your stay here. This park is owned by a sweet, older gentleman who operates very old-school and informal. Nothing fancy here and why should there be??? Its called CAMPING.
The good: you're close to Hermann (and there is not a lot of camping around Hermann), the jam hut makes for a good entertainment on the weekends, the owner is sweet, beautiful hilltop view, and full hook ups.
The less than good but not bad: the camp is next to a somewhat busy 2 lane highway. If they are really busy, owner will put a couple of overflow campers in the main lot by the jam hut (its not a bad thing, but maybe not for everyone). There is only one communal fire pit (if you don't like to meet her people, you may not like that).
Inconclusion, we WILL stay here again and we would recommend to our friends with full disclosure.
