Back again to Kayak. Saw Manatees, owl, raccoon, eagle, vultures, egrets, cranes crocodiles and turtles. Perfect 3 hours out and back.

Beautiful preserve with an amazing boardwalk. Now if I can just figure out how to borrow or rent a boat or kayak to get out into the preserve. The boat launch was busy with lots of people putting in their kayaks.

Hidden gem kayaking along the canopied old Florida creek. Beautiful.

Plenty of parking for hikers and paddlers. Clean permanent bathroom facilities.

Hidden gem. This park has a very nice boardwalk. Small boat launch and a couple covered picnic tables. Great shade in hotter months.

The boards could stand to be replaced. There is lots of nails sticking up out of the boards all along the walkway and they are very damp/slippery/mold covered in some spots. We saw water moccasins, alligators, and turtles down below. The field that this and at used to be fully mowed but now a small section of it is mowed. It’s well shaded and there is a boat launch for kayaks or canoes. The water here is quite black, you cannot see into it at all even when the sun is high in the sky. Long dirt road to get here is smooth not a lot of huge pot holes. Not a super long hike but wheelchair accessible.
