As a resident at Happy's Hideaway , I fully support the owners right to enforce security and to protect the residents safety. It is nice to know that there is someone looking out for us and our property. There is clear signage representing that our park is private and should be treated as such. If someone decides to enter private property in this day in age without permission, they should understand and be prepared to deal with said consequences.

Sincerely,

safe & secure resident

Wow! Threatening to press charges on a negative reviewer?! Cant help but wonder exactly what that charge would be... since youre on a publicly invited forum where reviews are not only encouraged, but the entire point of the site. Threatening legal action over a trivial few words seems excessive. Its not like they shot at you or something. I ran across this page during the first stage of shopping. I have no affiliation with the reviewers you are so angry and hateful toward. I dont care one way or another, but just so youre aware... the manner in which you dealt with the situation, or what i was able to gather from this page of that situation, encourages me to move along. I can appreciate the rawness and candor from each side, but the responses ive read from you only advise me to keep scrolling and do my business elsewhere. Whether or not those reviews are truthful or not are irrelevant. Your words however, speak volumes & create a window for ppl to conclude that it could, in fact, be true! Thanks to all involved for the info.

We have been privileged to be residents of this beautiful retirement community since our retirement last year. We came from Ohio looking for a spot to put a Park Model log cabin, and were very excited to find Happy's Hideaway Park. The beauty and serenity of this Park were more than we had hoped for. We love the way the paved roads meander up the hill, around the large rocks, and how each cabin is positioned for privacy and to fit in with the natural landscaping. We called and made an appointment to meet with Happy, found him to be very friendly and accommodating, and we chose a lot for our cabin. He was able to customize our cabin to meet our needs and desires, including extra storage space and other special touches to make it just what we wanted. Our cabin has both a screened porch and a large covered deck to maximize our enjoyment of the beautiful mountain scenery and landscaping we are surrounded by. Happy and his wonderful wife Linda are a delight, and every one of our neighbors have made us feel welcomed into the community. Now and then we have people who stop to check out our community. Most drive up as far as the sign that states that this is private property and gives a phone number to call for more information. It's sad to see that a person who chose to disregard the sign and drive all the way up into our community late at night, turn around on a lawn, and get out of their vehicle for who knows what reason last year is still adding negative reviews a year later. We are thankful that the owner is mindful of the safety and security of the residents of our beautiful retirement community.

I’ve been a full time resident for 2 years. I moved to this part of the country to semi- retire. I was looking for a place where I could simplify my life. Surround myself with nature, beauty, quiet. Yet close enough to towns with music, art, restaurants, and new friends. I love, love, love my tiny home cabin. My neighbors are the best. And I still take pictures of nature when I take my daily walks through lake lure, chimney rock, parks and unlimited trails and waterfalls nearby. Many places to learn to fly fish. And yes we have All the chain restaurants and stores 20-35 min away. This former big-city girl is very happy here. 😊.

I built a place up here in 2021. And I absolutely love it. There's a new owner and everything is great.
