The cabin was very nice clean and could accommodate five people easily.
The 38 acer lake was little more than a retention pond I could walk around it in less than twenty minutes.
My big issue was NOISE!
First they had heavy construction.
I understand the need for improvement however they know about the issue when I make my reservations and should have informed me then instead of waiting until the day before my trip when it was to late to change my plans.
Also my cabin was so close to a major road that I could read the plates on the big rigs as they rumbled by.
If you love traffic noise then this is the place for you.
I went on a 3-day camping trip for my birthday with my husband, and we also went to celebrate Father's Day! The area was very clean, peaceful, quiet, and just beautiful!! Good hiking trails, cabins, primitive campsites, all sorts of wonderful and amazing things out there!
Beautiful area to fish camp and just hang out lots of trails and cabins are nice and not over priced you will enjoy your visit plus they have black topped roads around 26 and Wampler lake areas
A great place to go day or night but during the night during certain months, the sky reveals it's secrets. The Milky Way Galaxy can be viewed in all its majesticness, from many locations throughout the strip pit lakes!
lots of fun times fishing here, new cabins are very nice also. NO mattresses on the beds. Bring an air mattress. Heat and AC work well in the window unit. Cabins are close to the road but little traffic most of the time.
April 2021 update
They have added some more cabins and redone narrow lake to remove the unsafe high walls. A nice place got even better. One of Indiana's hidden gems!
