I used Wabash & Erie Canal Park as both my wedding venue and reception spot. This was fantastic! I was able to use the canal boat to ferry my guests from the reception area (interpretative center) over to my ceremony spot (right by the canal boat house). This was an exceptional experience for everyone with a beautiful scenery! The staff and volunteers were wonderful and incredibly helpful. The rich history engraved in various aspects of this park made my wedding all the more special. I recommend this park for any and all activities!

Came across this place back in spring and it was not open. (The cold looking picture) Came back this summer for relaxing canal boat ride. Neat place, all private no tax money. It is a story of the importance of the canal to developing the Midwest. It is also a story of the residents of Delphi cleaning up what used to be a literal dumping ground. There is a museum, a village of mid-19th century crafts like barrel making (cooper), an original house moved to the site, and a place to camp if you desire. They even have some rental cabins available. One is quite tiny no electricity or water, but it does come with WiFi! The place is fun and educational, two things I find important. Spread the word, this place is a relaxing hidden gem.

This is a lovely park of historical significance. Campground is peaceful with mostly grassy sites. FHU sites have gravel pads. Six sites have 30/50 amp electric. Half the tent/pop-up sites have 20 amp. Be sure to visit the award-winning museum (open 1-4 daily.) On Saturdays during the summer, ride the canal boat on the last navigable section of the Wabash & Erie Canal. There are miles of walking/cycling trails. Downtown Delphi has several nice restaurants, art galleries, restored working Opera House, shopping... all within walking distance.

You just gotta check this place out. I stayed in the small log cabin for three nights. A 60 year old solo lady. I was cozy comfortable snd safe.Walked about 35 miles on all the trails. Saw deer bunnies Blue Heron Read Tail Hawks Orioles. FIREFLIES!!! Even walked to downtown for an amazing sandwich at the Sandwich restaurant. Camp host Rodger was friendly, informative. Really a gem. If ever in the area will visit again.
