We have been open for horse camping since 2002. We welcome all types of campers...horse, rv, work campers, etc. We now have 82 campsites. We have a brand new camper lounge where we host entertainment such as karaoke, live music, potlucks and is a great place for campers to enjoy being together. We have access to over 30 miles of wooded trails at Green River Lake State Park. Campers can saddle their horse, take off on foot, or get out their bicycle and head to the trails to experience the natural beauty Kentucky has to offer. We provide the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a little different setting. Some trails offer a breathtaking view of Green River Lake. Wildlife, such as deer, wild turkey and fox are abundant. Green River Stables is open year round for camping.

It’s a great place to camp and get away if the owner would follow the rules they put in place and stop the little kids from driving golf carts and trying to run people and other kids over. And it would be nice if the owner would change the non working breakers for camper hookups. Ours has been kicking since we rented the spot. The 120 plug doesn’t work and the 30 and 50 amp breaker has melted and turned the prongs black. I had to go buy new cords because of it.
Great trails. Campground used to be very nice but has run down over the last few years. They cater to Amazon and boaters. They also don't answer emails so don't even bother. This place could be a crown jewel with a little effort.
Equestrian campsite at green river very nice restrooms with shower. Water electric and sewer hookup easy access to trails they do sell shavings for stalls and wood for campfires you can camp closer enough you see horses in their stalls. Highly recommend trying this one. Most of the trails are nice and easy not a lot of rock or gravel trails are kept clean and clearly marked
Great place to stay! They have 4 bathrooms with a shower. All clean with locks on the door for privacy. Full hookups for the camper was a huge plus. Quiet and seeing the horses was a hit with the kids and family. Only con I had was our camper spot didn’t have a fire pit. I called them and they brought us a little one so the kids could make s’mores. Thank you for that. I only wish it was lake side. Other than that I highly recommend this place.
Update, been here since May. Just a few things of concern but it’s a nice area beautiful surrounding. The road in here has a deep drop with the curve so you gotta drive 25 MPH around; be careful. On the dead end road it’s not that difficult to get to. Water, electric sewage, everything you need. Laundry, showers.
