I have visited several times. Great dining experience. Staff always friendly. Overall a great place to visit and for those seeking peace and quiet, a place you will want to add to your coming-back list. Great job they have done here.
Usually very good food. Regular customer. Food prep was not up to the usual high standard that is normal here. Possibly just a bad day.
Great place for summer dining. We will continue to be fans. Restaurant use only.
Stayed in one of the Airstreams for rent, just right for ourselves and two boys. Excellent food at the restaurant. We brought our boat and did some fishing as well, check at the bar with 1T Mat for the fishing report! We will be back!
The good: My spouse and I stayed here for one night for our anniversary. The accommodations are awesome and the tiny cabins are perfect for two. The workers are very friendly.
The not so good: I called ahead to make reservations at the restaurant. We showed up on time, and had to see the bar tender to get seated (no problem). He asked if we had a reservation, we said yes and gave our last name. (The other reserved tables already had silverware and menus). Again, not a problem. The bartender was tending bar, hosting, and waiting tables. We got two honey mules *delicious* and hushpuppies, which I absolutely recommend. My spouse got the surf and turf and said it was awesome. I got the pecan chicken and was underwhelmed. The green beans had no seasoning and the scalloped potatoes were on the salty side. Again, didn't complain as the bartender was very overwhelmed. We planned our dinner to coincide with happy hour, however, when we got the check the drinks were $10 each. Their website states that during happy hour specialty drinks are $5. The honey mule is listed under specialty drinks. When I asked the employee, I was told that that only counts for margaritas and his daily special cocktails. All in all, it didn't ruin the night, but maybe update your website to clarify and get the bartender some staff to help when there is a corporate event happening.
Had made reservations week prior. Wanted to get away from everyday life and celebrate anniversary. When arriving we were greeted with friendly staff. We were taken to our room and were informed of room layout and amenities. The room was very nice and easy to get to. Bed and linens were awesome. Bathroom was spacious and open.
On another note this was on Valentine's Day that we stayed. In making reservations I made dinner reservations for that evening. A few choices at that time were available and a set was booked. I checked in a little earlier to confirm reservation time and check the evening menu. I was then told of a different time for my reservation which was much later than was first reserved. We we were finally able to get seated we chose the Valentine's evening specials for 2. As we were placing our orders we we told that an appetizer was not available and had to settle for something else. Overall the Salmon and Steak was some of the best we had had and good size portions. Service was good as we started but after a large group came in it was hard to get drinks refilled. I understand it was a busy night and can appreciate the staff for their hard work. Will be back.
