Basic full hookup RV park. Open year round. You can book online at goldfieldrv.com. 10 sites possibly a couple more when the park is full. Most have 50 and 30 amp outlets. Water hydrants are heated. A heated hose is recommended during freezing weather otherwise use your onboard tank. Most all sites are pull-through some of the maneuvering is tight for larger rigs as there are pine trees fringing the camp. All gravel sites. Plenty of room for your table and chairs and even your towed without disconnecting! You are up on a hill with a fantastic view of Goldfield on one side. A historic city, once the largest in Nevada that is mostly a ghost town now. On the south and west side you have a rugged ridge and open desert view that often has wild donkeys. Pet friendly. Please clean up after your pet in the park, but plenty of open land all around to run free. Miles of OHV trails to explore. Limitless rockhounding and exploring. Interesting native vegetation includes Joshua Trees, aromatic rabbitbrush, and sagebrush, a few cacti. It is very dry here. A quarter mile off of 95 so no highway noise. No strict unreasonable rules for check in / check out, the host(s) are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Full hook ups. We have WiFi. There is a coin laundry across town at the Santa Fe Saloon and hotel. Currently no regular stores or gas but a truck stop is coming. Emergency fuel may be available from the camp host. One diner, two bars, gift shops and a unique radio station KGFN Radio Goldfield 89.1 "Voice of the Old West". Goldfield is the county seat of Esmeralda County and they still use the stone courthouse that was built in 1908.
Enter and Exit on 4th Street. It is paved. Side roads are dirt and have steep grades and are not recommended.
Great location for midpoint stop between Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. Campground has water, electric and sewer. Sites are gravel and not all that level. Sitting in the shade of a tree and having dinner while overlooking the town was a highlight. The campground is quiet and dark at night. The town of Goldfield has seen better days but it has some artsy stores.
AAA Great view of town and landscape. Excellent stargazing. Very reasonable rate. Randy was a gracious and kind host, even sharing surplus (tasty) fruit he had on hand. Quiet for a great sleep. Four stars only because it is not a resort type setting (which was not expected). THANK YOU!
Nice quiet park, awesome view of Goldfield! Randy our host is a great help and knows a lot about Goldfield and the area! Thanks again Randy!.
The guy who runs this place couldn't be more great! He helped us in so many ways and was very accommodating. It's very peaceful here and the vibes are awesome. All the hookups you need and the electricity you want! Free wifi is a plus. Thanks Randy for making this such an amazing stop! God bless.
This was a great stop for us! The weather was coming in snowy and windy! The water was off but we had electricity free WIFI and we were able to dump. When we called the guy was super nice and even stopped by to check on us and gave us a 50amp to 30amp adapter to plug in. Winter rates were $20 a night! We would definitely stop again!
