We have been seasonal campers at Giles for several years now and enjoy every weekend there!! The facility is always clean and the managers always ready to help make your stay there a great time. The campground has 50 sites, mostly seasonal with people you want to spend time with. The lake is beautiful and the fishing is great offering Blue Gill to Bass whatever you fishing fancy is!!! This is a very affordable campground probably the best value in West Michigan!!! Come join us in 2013!!!!
We stayed here just a night so my little brother could get his first taste of RV camping. We got the impression that a lot of the campers there are folks who come there often or stay for a season and I have to say they were the most welcoming people. Even just for that one night we felt right at home.
Took my 1991 RV on it's maiden Voyage here in July of 2022. We arrived late and a guest showed us where to find the manager to check in. We were personally escorted to our site with back up assistance, this was my first EVER RV camping trip. My power cord was not long enough, and the manager offered an extention to borrow. Management checked on us a while later to ensure we were all set for the night. Our site was across from the boat launch which provided a beautiful evening view. The park was quiet by 10pm. Our morning view as just as peacful, as well as the park was. Management again checked in on us. We had some issues hooking up the the water, thought it was the camper connection and disreguarded, we had a hose for water. Management stopped by while we were out walking the dog, VERY DOG FRIENDLY, and hooked the water line up for us! Restrooms are modern and clean, the beach is nice and sandy with sandy swimming area. We rented Kayaks in the afternoon, again management went above and beyound to assist us, even pushed us each into the water. All of the guests we encountered were very friendly. This is a smaller, mainly seasonal campground, that offers peace and quiet and relaxation. Upon Check out, management assisted with the dump process. I can not say enough about how helpful the staff was and made my first ever RV trip great.
We rented the cabin for Labor Day weekend with our daughter her family and a friend. Check-in was quick and easy with Amy. The cabin was clean and pretty well supplied. My only complaint was there are only 4 stools at the table and there were 7 of us. Some folding chairs for the round table on the porch would be perfect. Most of the folks are here for the season and we found everyone to be warm and friendly. Our grandkids had a great time riding their bikes and playing with the other kids in the game room. The lake water wasn't safe so the managers set up a slip and slide. Since it was a holiday weekend they had a hayride, a dance, and pancake breakfast for everyone.
