This is a very interesting place to visit. Is not common to see a giant rock split in the middle of the dessert. The story of the man living under the rock is so unbelievable, but you can see that it is true when you are there.

Johnson Valley staple. Unfortunately it's been covered in graffiti over the years as well as the rock scape surrounding the monument. A fun ride over from the KOH area were most OHV riding is. A good stop for a day ride but lots of non OHV traffic as well that dont follow OHV etiquette. Just ride in carefully and aware as last time we went there was a group of dogs being walked off leash

Odd landscape with an interesting history. Perfect for exploring on foot and in vehicle. Dune buggies, ATVs, dirt bikes everywhere but not crowded. Would recommend camping out to see the stars. Beautiful photos... definitely read up on the man who lived under the Giant Rock.
