Went down a crazy dirt road to get here. Camped with the family, canooed down the river, and swam in the clear waters. There were rope swings, a cute little slide into the water, and a lot of people enjoying the area. Bring bug spray because the bugs ate us alive. Love this little freaky creek. 🚣‍♂️ 🌳 🐊

Beautiful little corner of Florida. Probably want four-wheel drive if it's been raining recently. Could use some cleaning up but charming otherwise.

Freak Creek or Free creek as my children like to call it 😂 is awesome for children or even by yourself. A dirt road that's 3 miles long (perfect for 4wheelers or sxs) leads to a swim spot. There is a parking lot and 2 different camping areas with several campsites. A rope swing and a slide into the water. There is another tree to jump off of as well. The water is clear unless it rains I am 5'1 ft and can walk across to the other side for the most part easily (rain makes it deeper). Current is not strong until you go past the slide area. The area for the rope swing is DEEP I have seen all sizes of grown men go down and come back up just fine. I cought a catfish by hand 😅 so there's that to do as well as Kayaking/boating and actual fishing.

Side note: to the right of the boat ramp is scary dark water, I don't trust it so we don't go that way.

Great launch/pickup site for kayaking adventures and a decent swimming hole. It had just rained a ton when we were there so the water was high and tannic. Some other folks there said the water is usually crystal clear.

I jumped off of both rope swings. The one on the north side of the creek is on a cypress tree that has been half burned and was kind of sketchy, the other one is on a much sturdier cypress on the south side and had new steps going up. However folks had run cables and a zipline across the creek that hang right in the way of the landing zone, so take care when jumping. Water was deep in the middle, I didn’t touch when I landed
