Tall ponderosa pine trees create a rustic "camping in the woods" experience and provide shade on hot summer days. Firewood and ice are available for purchase at the campground. The campground is very busy on holiday weekends and during the County Fair. Nearby attractions are Flag Extreme Adventure Course, the new county Bike Park, Archery Range, Military Museum, Model Railroad Club, Fair Grounds, Equestrian Arena and Cross Country Course, and the Pepsi Amphitheater where concerts are held regularly. Just a few miles away down Lake Mary Road, you will find fishing, water skiing, and relaxation on the beach of Upper Lake Mary. Fort Tuthill County Campground is open for both reservations and a first-come, first-serve basis.
Camping areas include RV and tent sites with picnic tables, fire rings, nearby portable toilets, and water spigots. With nearly 100 sites and 4 Group Areas, there is room for most everyone! There are 8 RV sites with water and sewer hookups. Electricity and shower facilities are not available. Generators are allowed with typical "Quiet Hours" being observed between 10:00 p.m. and 6 a.m. Your pets are always welcome at the campground; however, pets must be on a leash at all times and never left unattended.
Located just south of Flagstaff off I-17 (exit 337) in the Fort Tuthill County Park.

Visited the campground for a festival this weekend, and I am so impressed with every aspect. Perfect location, facilities are clean and abundant, the staff was so helpful and maintained immaculate vibes, the forest is pristine… 10/10 can’t wait to come back!
We camped in an atypical fashion for us (not dispersed) but dang! this place was super nice. John welcomed us with open arms and enforced the noise ordnance. There’s a bike park, ropes course (with a flush toilet that opens at 8a…shh) disc golf, happened to be the fair…everyone had a blast, even if it feels a bit cramped at times
Want to give John a big shout out ! He went above and beyond to help us park our travel trailer.
Last night we got in late 8:30pm and tried to back in but couldnt see well . We could not pull through since the fifth wheel next to us did not pull in all the way and partly blocked us . Last night we were taken to a lot with no hook up for the night and was told to try to back in in the morning to park in our paid spot with hook ups .
John noticed our struggles and helped us tremendously this morning !
So Kudos to him and thank you Kindly sir !!
Great campsite with very good facilities nearby for family fun. Nice hike into Flagstaff to get what you need.
Really enjoyed our stay here and it was so convenient to access the freeway. Loved the trees, shade and access to the bike park and mountain bike trails.
I wish there were flush toilets and even showers would be nice. We stayed for 9 days and using the outhouse for that many days really got old.
