Sorry to say, this resort has gone down hill. The services are sub-par from what it used to be. Workers are not friendly. The office is uppity, all the activities are gone. The campers are not fun anymore. I don't recommend it to my friends that visit me in camp verde. I didn't care for Verde Ranch in the beginning. But, they have grown to be a fun place and recommend them for my visiting friends. Sorry Distant Drums. Maybe you need to rethink your management. You guys were wonderful before your new manager in 2020-2021 stuffed shirt and unfriendly.
Spotless RV Resort with all the basic amenities you need; showers, laundry facilities, exercise room, Jacuzzi, pool and dog park. Close to Sedona and all the National Monuments and Parks. There also have hiking/mountain biking trails with beautiful views of the mountains and sunset right behind the park. 4 wheel off rushing Avery's the street and several restaurants nearby. My only negative was the freeway noise, but that seems to be common at many RV Parks. I highly recommend Distant Drums, I really enjoyed my stay there.
Love this place! The amenities are great and super clean! Staff is very kind and lives there too! They have a pool, hot tub, laundry, fitness room, community kitchen, dog park, gazebo, shuttle to the casino.
This is the first poor Google Review I have ever left. But, I wanted to make sure no one else has a negative vacation experience like we did. From the very minute we parked in our trailer spot, we were being harassed for having children! The harassment never stopped. The security guards speed around the resort in golf carts with little yellow flashing police lights and yell at you for the tiniest infraction to “the rules!” EXAMPLE: 14 year old boy walking to his cousins campsite without an adult accompanying him! (P.S. Security Guards SPEED AROUND WAY FASTER THAN 5 MPH but yell at anyone going faster than the posted limit.)
I had an employee yell at me, with hands flying around, about my son sitting in the hot tub, and then accused me and my daughter of being liars. It was such an uncomfortable situation that my stomach hurt the rest of the day. I didn’t even dare go back to the pool again because she made me feel so yucky.
Please, find somewhere to stay where you feel like you can be on vacation. Ours reached the point where we felt like we couldn’t even breathe because of the constant harassment.
Anyway, this is just not what we expected when we booked. I wish I would have known it was not a place for families and so I felt like a review was necessary to help others who could be in our same situation.
Happy Travels!
Following employment for Verde Ranch RV Resort and being told "prior employees cannot live on site and we must vacate within a week", we were pressed for time and the staff at Distant Drums were all too familiar with how dirty Verde Ranch does employees and guests, they not only accommodated us, but also upgraded us to a better site. The sites have concrete for your driving vehicles, parking spots for extra vehicle parking and/or guests, and even an on-site spot to store/park small covered/uncovered trailers. Additionally, propane fill, pickup of personal trash and an awesome little store. Too many benefits to list but the staff here has been amazing! Highly recommended.
