This is a very old KOA and appears to have had no upgrades since it was built. New owners have some major challenges. Our assigned spot was in the middle on a sloping hillside but level enough. No trees in our area though the park does have some treed spots. 90 degrees and high humidity with no shade made sitting outside impossible. Facilities were rundown but seemed clean. Unfortunately, we were parked next to a permanent resident with an exposed portable septic tank that was far from septic and smelled great after sitting in the July Arkansas sun. Road was paved, site was grass and gravel. Folks running the place were nice but they have some work to do to get even close to being a nice venue.

2nd Stay Review: came back through from our trip to NC. Spur of the moment call and was able to get in (right to our first spot as a matter of fact). Late arrival on our part, but they had everything taken care of and ready to go. Even though we knew the site location, they had a map with the highlighted route along with our paperwork all set up in the late arrival bin. My beautiful wifey planned the food delivery perfectly so right as we finished our quick/easy set up, it arrived. Super quiet place and this time we had our fishing poles so got in some early morning fishing the next day. Caught a few catch and release, made breakfast and then headed on out. Nice place with nice people. Am sure they will continue with their upgrades as they have noted but for us, we had all the amenities we needed to spend some great fam time 👍🇺🇸 Will stay there on future trips. One recommendation, I have sort of fallen for Arkansas and they didn’t have a razorback cap in the store so need to get a couple in there lol jk

1st Stay Review: Nice find for us especially after dealing with a bad park owner in Santa Rosa NM. New owners very nice and accommodating. We like country settings so the pond with the picnic table was great for our fam. Small pool just right for us, looked like there new gas grills to borrow as well as charcoal grills at the sites. We were only staying one night so didn’t want to unpack all the food stuff so had pizza and BBQ plates delivered 👍 We like places with not a lot of people, that’s quite at night and has just enough amenities to keep the kids going. Wish we could stay longer and probably will hit this place up again on way back from east coast. Overall just what we needed.

This campsite was a great find! We loved the peaceful setting and the beautiful lake. The cabin was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great campground! The owners are amazing and go above and beyond for their customers and make you feel like friends. They do events to bring the campers together. For example "Trunk or Treat" "Fall season family movie nights." They have a general store, propane refill area, pool, on site laundry, provided BBQ grills, picnic tables, and fishing pond. The location is very convenient to shopping, food, and interstate but off the road enough to give that camping feel with no roadway noise. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back.

We had to find a place to stay overnight on our way south. This place was wonderful. The owner Rori came and met us after hours, in the dark to show us where to park and get us situated foe the night. The bathrooms are very clean and they keep them nice and warm for a refreshing shower. We will definitely keep this place as a regular stop on our annual travels. 😀
