If I could give them a million stars for service I absolutely would. A friend booked the campground for a weekend group outing. I didn't Google the campground beforehand; I just showed up. From the super cute logo (porcupine) to the fire pit with it's ring of bright orange Adirondack chairs facing the gorgeous view of the mountains to the stocked outdoor kitchen to the simple, yet cozy cabins, Foolhardy Hill is the best campground on the Deerfield River - I've stayed at a few. Not only did they have off-grid bathrooms, but they were clean and fully stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. They had a games closet and even had a movie projector and screen available for use. We didn't use it because we were having too much fun playing the games. I'm a roughing-it kind of camper and don't really enjoy "glamping" but FH makes it easy to enjoy the comfortable amenities they provide. Camping made comfortable. You won't be sorry you went there.

Foolhardy Hill is the nicest facility that I have ever "Camped". I used quotes, because this is NOT a "roughing it" Campground. Katie and Biddy, the host/owners are the nicest and most accommodating. This "off the grid" place is convenient, comfortable, spotless clean and I would HIGHLY recommend a stay. I would also recommend renting the entire facility for a family reunion, off site business meeting, fishing club meeting, or just a place to meet up with a bunch of old friends... The bathrooms are clean and the showers are HOT. The pavilion provides a meeting place for groups, maybe discuss the day's catch, the one that got away, or just to meet new friends. The pavilion also has everything you will need for grilling, flat top cooking and 2+ gas burners.

I was here for fishing. Foolhardy is located centrally for the best the Deerfield River has to offer.

Pets welcome, but leave the little ones at home (unless renting the entire facility).

If I have to leave just ONE negative comment; after the shower, the mirror above the sink was VERY fogged! (Did i mention, the showers are HOT!) :-)

My wife booked the entire campground for a ladies camping weekend and had an amazing time. The hosts have gone above and beyond to curate a welcoming and inclusive environment. They had mixed weather but it didn’t stop the fun, keeping dry overnight in a cozy cabins and cooking and hanging out under the pavilion and tent. She raved about how beautiful the off grid bathrooms were and that the scenery of the campground couldn’t be beat. I think they will making renting the campground out a yearly tradition. Highly recommend booking a stay with Foolhardy Hill!

This place is such a find! The cabins are very comfortable and cozy (way beyond my expectations). The attention to detail put into the amenities, like the kitchen area and campfire, made for such a wonderful stay with my son! The Bathrooms are modern and super clean. Katie the owner was so kind, responsive, and it’s clear how much this place is a labor of love. We will 100% be back.

Ok, I have to be honest — first time camper over here ! Blew my expectations right out of the Deerfield ! Everything about the location has the best vibes ! I felt like I got the true “camping” experience without having to set up a tent ! The cabins are comfortable - bathrooms are clean. Common kitchen area and fire place is perfect for hanging out ! Already looking forward to next time ! And if you really love setting up a tent, there’s camp sites too! Best of both worlds !
