Tonight is the night my family has decided not to return to return next year as seasonals, and when we leave, we won't return. The campground is great, lots of things for kids to do with many events. The staff is awesome, but never check on anyone, kinda odd, first campground I have been to that I never see anyone checking in to see if you are happy. Located in a great area, which I love. I write this review incognito because I am a little worried about how long term seasonals will respond to this. But, at a certain point of the day the campground becomes a night club. The long term party goers here don't have any respect for other campers that are not part of their clique. The music at certain sites is played so loud they are forcing you to be part of their party. Tonight's group is so loud that you can here them through the entire campground. Music so loud that it is upsetting all dogs in the area. Everyone screaming and having a good time, while some of us at 10:15 PM have decided to pack up and go home because we don't believe we will be able to sleep tonight. Oh, I should mention the horns that some have on their golf carts, also loud, why does someone need a train horn on their golf carts. Some sites use their karaoke machines to talk to each other across the campground.
I think there are a lot of good people here but there are some here that are out of touch with society and make comments that are not acceptable
If you are the type of family who is looking for a chill and relaxing nights, this campground is not for you.
If you like to party, and party hard, this campground is for you.
I was there last October for just the weekend. It seemed awesome with awesome people. I can't wait to get there in 3 wks. I didn't read any reviews until after we pd for this season coming up and was a little concerned. I hope everything is working and fixed up this season. If the pool doesn't work, I'm going to be really upset. Praying this is a great season and looking forward to this season regardless of the ratings.
I also understand, I could be wrong, but I believe it's under new management, so maybe everything will be fine. Also, I didn't see the bathrooms dirty. They were very clean, and every site was beautiful and showed individually per camper.
Management was very professional and smiling and friendly.
All pets were contained, and none running loose.
I did hear music, yes, with speakers and a mic, but I didn't hear it after 11. Slept like a baby.
One thing...there are kids that take things from the sites, so parents really need to watch their kids.
I was not impressed with this campground at all. I had booked for June and needed to cancel due to a family emergency. When I called to cancel the owner ended up calling me and asked me to move to another date. Reluctantly, I did and we planned to make the best of it. When we arrived, the original site I had booked was not what we were given and no one communicated this with me. I was told when I changed the reservation it would be on the same site. They informed us there was no power in the back and the site we were going to was comparable. Let me just say it was a crazy tight turn to get onto a dead end road. The site was small and just barely fit a 28ft travel trailer and getting it backed in was tricky but we did it. The next challenge...the septic. We paid for full hook ups but due to the new sewer caps (as informed by a seasonal camper they had been replaced over the winter) and the height of them we couldn't even use them as it was the same height as our travel trailer. Disappointing to say the least! The campers next to us had the same issue. This is definitely a party campground with loud music playing late into the night even past "quiet hours". The pool was okay but dirty, the people in the office were nice but not wi-fi as it says on the website and on the map provided it says Wi-Fi. Again, we made the best of it. The dump station was okay but has no water available which is the first campground I have ever seen without water at the dump station. Certainly not a "resort" campground and although the people were nice this is not a place will be visiting again.
This place knows how to party - so if you enjoy extremely loud music until 2am every single night, with loud motorcycles revving their engine obnoxiously, then this is the place for you! Complete lack of respect and regard for fellow campers, or maybe the disrespect is just reserved for “transient” campers. This is a place full of seasonal campers. We paid for full hook-ups…and could only actually get water and electric with no dumping station available. Would not recommend this “resort” to anyone.
I wish I had more nice things to say other than the manager was nice. First approach it seemed okay. The office/"store" was lacking most things. We drove through rough, rutted roads past many rough campers that looked borderline abandoned and unkempt. Someone behind us had their power ran to our pole and kept just coming over to our site to fiddle with stuff. The wood we purchased for $1/piece would not burn due to being so green and damp. Had to exchange it (which the manager was very friendly about). Then, there's the seasonal sites, which are 95% or so of the people staying there. But, it seems that they run the show there. There's no rules or regulations. People partly loudly every single night till 2-3am with LOUD music and yelling obnoxiously. Bar wasn't really any bar at all. I brought my own but tried to buy from them to give them business. The sewer and cable didn't work. There was garbage all over. The site across from us had four dogs that barked often. When night comes, he would grab a shovel and scoop the poop and just flip it in the bushes by his site. Gross. There were some pleasant people in passing that I spoke with. But many gave the vibe (usually just staring at you as they'd pass by) like you weren't wanted or welcome in their Campground. This business needs to start acknowledging their patrons and save this business by cleaning up and buckling down. Lots of potential here, and sad to see someone letting others take advantage of them and ruin their business.
