It's a ton better then a year ago so I can't complain haha. Maybe y'all could invest in a trash can.
Fishing is good here. Boat ramp and docks meet all our needs. Canal from ramp to river is extremely shallow in one area.
It was very dirty and there still seemed to be storm damaged trees in the canal leading out to the lake and around the launch.
In Jackson county the corps of engineers have let the locale waterways grow up. the corps of engineers should be ashamed of what they have neglected in this area you can no longer fish from the bank anywhere and quite a few places are inaccessible even with a boat
This is another park in Jackson County that has gone downhill due to neglect. Though it is better maintained than Buena Vista Landing not far from here.
The landing site in past glory days was the original site to a popular Resteraunt. The ruins are still located in the overgrowth at the parking area. The boat landing 8s in good shape and parking is adiquite and seems safe due to traffic that constantly moves through park. Though really unused, there is restroom facilities here and some nic picnic tables dock is short but there is plenty of bank area to fish from though most is weeded in.
Like other neglected parks in this county, it really needs a bit of restoration and new additions to being back more than just the few boat launches.
The site appears to be capable of having a camping area if restored properly.
This could be a hidden gem for the county if restored and managed properly.
