I’m pretty sure I went to the lower Grapefruit Rocks
There was a parking area with a trail/dirt (read: muddy) road leading into the woods. If you follow that (on foot), you’ll see a campground area. If you enter a footpath trail you’ll see some of the rocks. You can then either climb or hike to the top of them
Tremendous view
Gorgeous views any time of year. This short hike to the top of the rocks offers one of the best panoramic views near Fairbanks. Sometimes the trail can be wet or slippery so be sure to bring good waterproof hiking boots with plenty of traction. On clear days you can see the mountains in the distance, and expect to see wildlife in the trail including moose, bear, and grouse.
