Very nice comfortable place to stay. Captain Al is awesome! He took us to the other side of the Inlet. We got 2 buckets of clams. I got a tee and a cap that says Reel 'Em Inn Ninilichik, Alaska. We decided to stay 3 nights instead of the 2. Very sore and tired from clamming. Art and Cheryl are very nice, the dog (i forgot pooch name already) is really nice and very friendly. If we do decide to go clamming again next year we will definitely go with Capt. Al! Thank you very much!
Halibut fishing with the family! We had a blast taking our two teenage kids on the halibut charter. It was a VERY early morning start with our drive from Soldotna but well worth it to time the tide/currents right. I'm sure all of their guides are great; we had Skylar. Younger guy that has a lot of experience and loves what he does. And he's patient. On our end, that was key! We were on the water for roughly 6-7 hours and everyone on the boat caught their limit. Started by fishing an area for large Halibut and finished in an area with good eating sized ones. Perfect balance of anticipation and hammering one after another. Skylar cleaned our fish in record time, and we have them magically showing up on our doorstep in the lower 48 next week when we get home.
Took my wife and teenage boys fishing with Captain Eric today. He was super patient and helpful with some Halibut noobs. We had a great time, and even under tough conditions he put us on the fish. Will be my first call next AK trip.
I've fished with these guys for 5+ years, and wouldn't change a thing! Not only are they owner-operators, they are truly sportsmen who enjoy fishing and love helping others harvest the best Alaska has to offer. You won't find the combination of expertise and personal touch they put on every charter. They put you on the fish and then some! Professional , personal, and proficient. They book up fast (just don't call before I do 😂)
The Boat Captains are top notch here. They put you on fish! And not just little ones! Their network is the in crowd here. They have their finger on the pulse of what is going on between Ninilchik and Homer. If one place is to windy they will find a different spot to launch and still fish. Their accommodations are more than adequate. I not only caught limits but larger fish too. You feed yourself here so buy your food and bring it. There is a very cool outdoor kitchen. Fire ring! And if the weather is not cooperating they will help you get on the river for salmon.
