Take the Glenn Hwy to the Richardson Hwy. Take the Tok Cut-Off Hwy to the Alaska Hwy, turn left on the Alaska Hwy. Located at milepost 1332 of the Alaska Hwy, 15 miles northwest of Tok.
We camped there for a couple of days in 2010. It was a beautiful park and we loved it. The place was clean and very quiet. We were there around June 20th and I thought it would be more crowded given that the park we’d stopped at back closer to Tok had been full of people. Incidentally, I took some photos of some beautiful sunsets (around midnight
One day we will get back to Alaska and I’m looking forward to seeing this park again.
This place is spectacular. I had the campground nearly to myself and went out paddleboarding and saw a moose swim across the lake. No frills, no hookups, but great campsite.
Great for kids and pets. Excellent bird viewing and little goat trails to walk on in the woods. Very nice new campground.
