I was not happy with the size of the campsites. My kids said the bathrooms were creepy. Pool looks like it hasn't been used in years. The website represents this place way better than reality. It took 4hrs to get fire rings (which were cut 55gal drums). The playground equipment was run down as well. We put this place on our do not return campground list.
Was going to stay here for a couple nights, decided against it.... sites are only about 13 feet wide. So literally, u park ur camper right next to the camper next door. Either u pull in and put back side to their black tank or u back in a walk out ur door to their black tank.
Overall it's a super creepy vibe, from the owners who are frantic in the placement of guests, to the other people around u who are the bottom of the life barrel. Then add the tiny sites and expensive rates it makes for a really bad place to stay.
$45 a night is very high for a campground that is so close to the highway, no pool like they advertise, tiny sites, creepy vibe from other guests and the owners.... u would b better off staying someplace else.
So difficult to review cuz of their off season yet looks like a ghost campground. Also, they don't answer online whatsoever???
Very dated place. Old junk campers setting around. Shower house leaves much to be desired. Four lane highway is 200 feet from the campground with constant traffic noise. But I will say that the sites are nice enough, with plenty of grass.
We have come here a couple times. It’s an older place but peaceful. They sold firewood, and our neighbors were always great to us. Showers weren’t great, but nothing worse than the state park campgrounds.
