Place is a complete joke!!! Grass or weeds not cut at the site try letting our kids play with shaving cream in the yard and was told by the owner we are TRASH!!! The shower rooms smell like raw sewage!! And then we inform them out bed is broke as they blame us for sitting on it!! They came to fix it trashing the cabin with mud and water along with our bedding that was on the bed!!! So in my opinion if you are not a regular there you are trash!!!
Me and my kiddos stayed for labour day weekend had an amazing time .we will be back next year with some more family.tganks again east lake camping.
Bathrooms are disgusting. 1 toilet had poop in it the whole week with no cleaning. The singular nondisgusting shower in the campground was ice cold for 3 days. This is the good shower that looks like a dead rat or a giant hairball is clogging the drain. No privacy in the bathroom because the walls were chin height. Good luck getting anything from the store that was barely ever opened. Great place if you have low expectations. I would compare it to diet gummy bears.
Nice location, nearly central to Holland, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Interesting huge farms near by. Poorly managed; never received return phone call, they didn't check their own database and didn't know we were coming, and didn't clean the bathrooms our entire visit and the unflushed toilets were disgusting.
We had a great stay at East Lake Campgrounds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed on the far side from the beach area and it was very quiet and peaceful. The areas closer to the beach seemed more lively. The bathrooms near our sites need updating, but they look like they've been doing a lot of updating so I'm sure that set of bathrooms will be updated soon.
We would definitely stay here again!
