About Campground

Bob and Judy Welke started Camp Sequoia in 1953 and it has been owned and operated by the same family for over 65 years. Their daughter Kim Welke has been running the camp with the same family values since 1997. With all our experience we provide an inviting place for families and friends to enjoy each other and create lasting memories. We encourage you to make Sequoia your summer home!

We have a Private 15 Acre Fishing Lake loaded with fish such as Bluegill, Bass, Pike, and Sunfish. We also offer rowboats and canoes so you can spend a day out on the water.

We are a 50 & older seasonal camp resort. All campsites are back-in, 30’x60’ which includes a fire ring, water, and 30 or 50 amp electrical hook-ups. The sites are nice, grassy, and level. Many sites have mature shade and some are without trees for those motorhomes that prefer none.

We do not have cement pads or sewer hook-ups, but we do offer a dump station and there is a local company that comes out once a week if you would like to be pumped out.

Beautiful, quiet campground, filled with seasonal tenants. As a weekend tenant, was disappointed that someone stole our sewage drain hose while we were away visiting with my family in the area. Thank God we locked our camper whenever we left. When I lodged a complaint with the owner regarding the theft, was basically called a liar. I would not recommend this place unless you lock up everything

Would not let me camp here because I have two indoor cats in my RV. Never heard of such a thing anywhere in the country.

Update: The manager said this summer of '23 that cats are allowed in the RV park and she did not know why that person said that in the past. We toured the park, which has reasonable rates and lots of trees on spacious lots.

I wish I could rate this place at zero but you can't. That's the number they deserve. Over priced, VERY stereotypical, different rules for different folks depending on how much the owner likes you. Priced for full hookups but no full hookups available. Do yourself a favor and go pretty anywhere else. Other seasonal campgrounds in the area have a waiting list. This place doesn't. Bet you can figure out why real quick if you try.
